Ceiling fans come in various sizes, typically measured by their diameter in inches across the fan motor and blades.
When selecting the right ceiling fan for your space, consider the following:
Area dimensions: Allow for a clearance of 12 to 18 inches from the fan blade tips to the nearest wall to ensure optimal air circulation and wind strength. Consider features like cove lighting and floor-to-ceiling cupboards that may affect clearance requirements.
Ceiling height: For ceilings 2.4m or lower, opt for low profile fans. For ceilings exceeding 3m, consider an extended downrod to facilitate better airflow distribution to the floor. Browse our wide selection of ceiling fans suitable for any ceiling height.
Blade count: Choose a fan with 5 or 6 blades for larger areas to distribute airflow more effectively. However, note that more blades or longer blades increase the fan motor's load, potentially lowering RPM.
Sloped ceilings: If your ceiling has a slant or slope, send us a picture for personalized advice as installing a fan on such ceilings may require additional accessories.
Yes, rod type fans are suitable to be installed on sloped/slanted ceiling. Electricians may need to use additional accessories to install the fan. Kindly send us a photo so that we can better advise you.
If your ceiling is above 3m in height, we would usually recommend getting an extended downrod so that the wind can travel down better. These downrods are a customized order in addition to the fan; so there is no exchange or refund. The electrician would not be able to cut the rod onsite as well.
Our recommendations for downrods lengths based on ceiling height:
- 3.0 - 3.2m: 6 - 8"
- 3.2 - 3.4m: 10 - 14"
- 3.4 - 3.6m: 14 - 18"
- 3.6 - 4.0m: 20 - 30"
- 4.0 - 4.5m: 40 - 60"
- +4.5m: 60" and up
Ceiling fan installation with existing electrical points and non-false ceiling is $60 for 2.9m ceiling height and under, and $80 for 3.0m ceiling height and above.

If your house has low ceiling, i.e. 2.4m or below, we recommend a low profile ceiling fan. These fans are shorter in height and comes with lighting options.

No, we currently don't offer COD and require full payment to arrange for delivery.
Our online prices are retail at a cheaper price with the discount for first time buyer. If you're a first time buyer reach out for a 5% discount code.
We will advise you on the stock availability once an order is placed. If the item is out of stock beyond your expected timeline, we will issue a full refund.

Return & Exchange
Return requests can only be made within 14 days of the date you received the item. To initiate this request, please email us at goldberghomesg@gmail.com with your order number, reason for return and photographs of the item. Please note that the policy is subject to Goldberg Home conditions.
If the product has not been installed, you may come to our store to exchange for other items of equivalent or higher value and top up accordingly (no refund for items of lower value).
